Lead Financial Planning and Analysis Solution Architect 80-100%

Zurich is looking to expand by hiring a Lead Financial Planning and Analysis Solution Architect within Business Technology Solutions. 

You will be responsible for defining the technical solution architecture for the Business Steering functions of Zurich. This role will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure that technology solutions align with business goals and deliver value. 

You will give guidance to the Product owner and Application teams that will realise these goals.

This Job requires regular physical presence in our Corporate Centre Office and occasional travel

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end ANAPLAN (Polaris) solution design across Group and BU levels, translating business requirements into robust architectural solutions aligned with strategies and best practices.
• Drive system integration and technical governance, overseeing seamless data flows between ANAPLAN and platforms like Databricks, while managing delivery using tools such as JIRA/ServiceNow and product version control.
• Champion an AI-first approach, leveraging AI capabilities to accelerate development, reduce manual effort, identify optimization opportunities, and define measurable AI adoption goals for the service.
• Collaborate and communicate across stakeholders, working closely with business leaders, developers, data architects, and IT teams to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements — translating complex architecture decisions into clear, accessible messaging.
• Establish architecture standards and drive innovation, defining solution principles, ensuring compliance with Zurich's security and quality standards, and staying ahead of ANAPLAN and SaaS trends to continuously create business value in the FP&A ecosystem.
  
  

What you bring

• Deep ANAPLAN expertise, with 10+ years of experience in Financial Planning, official Solution Architect certification (preferably Polaris), and 5+ years of proven delivery in FP&A processes and solution architecture.
• Strong integration & architecture skills, including hands-on experience with enterprise frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman), Databricks/Datalake concepts, ADO, and SaaS security and compliance principles.
• Exceptional communication & stakeholder management, with the ability to translate complex technical solutions for diverse audiences, lead cross-functional collaboration, and deliver clear documentation and presentations in fluent English.
• Versatile technical toolkit, with desirable skills spanning Cloud (AWS), Databricks, Advanced Excel, JIRA, Python, and Data Science — complemented by strong analytical thinking and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
